Feeling Nauseous

Is there anything you can do?

I had the best intentions of eating healthy and exercising as much as possible, but once the nausea hit I had no motivation to move let alone cook meals and go to the gym. If I could go back I would have prioritized simpler goals - staying hydrated, getting as much sleep as possible and mental health activities like journaling and meditating. I loved drinking ginger tea, not because I think it reduced my nausea but because the warm drink made me feel relaxed.

With my second pregnancy I got a prescription for a medication to help with the nausea but I really hated taking a medication. It was also hard to remember to take it. Luckily this phased passed after a couple of months, unlike my first pregnancy where it lasted into month six.

I would recommend picking a few simple things that help you relaxed - a playlist of soft music, a foot bath, a blanket warmed up in the dryer, whatever your thing might be, and just taking a few minutes for yourself whenever you can.
